‘Immersive Environments’ and ‘Changing Modes of Perception’

Another pull from CreativeApplications.net which must be one of the most interesting spots on the net right now.

Written by Filip Visnjic, the article examines several practitioners and their coming together for the creation of new pieces at the ScreenLab residency at the University of Salford. Essentially it documents several breakthrough moments when the coders, photographers, and movement artists create immersive environments that are so convincing that the experience is not of the technology but of the moment.

There are some interesting clips detailing these works, but to view technology through technology surely loses a considerable weight of value. Nonetheless its an interesting article.
