PsycholoCode Data Sources

The data currently comes from random numbers which are passed through the plutchik functions and are outputted as shapes in the emotionWheel and endochrineEmitters. Random isn’t good enough, and the AP needs to reach into the internet and real-world to grow further.

The possible data sources

  • Real-world sensors (microphones, motion detectors, cameras etc)
  • Sensor readings sourced from the IOT (Internet Of Things)
  • Mining relevant databases from around the web

The IOT and real-world sensors are going to be most important for future project incarnations. None of the data will be real-time for the Alumni Show in December which means that I need to present the Fla with arrays of numbers plundered from various sources.

I recently decided that the sound of the sea should be included in the psycholocode as a baseline definition of positivity. What this means is that because the sound is considered universally to be a relaxing, interesting, energising thing to listen to it should therefore be used as benchmark against which other frequencies should be measured and understood.

This leads me on to how other feelings could be represented by mathematics and then use mathematically created datasources as the foundation, ratherthan random ones.
